Royal Visit To Rock UK Frontier Centre, Irthlingborough 30 October 2024

HRH The Duke of Gloucester KG GCVO visited Irthlingborough on 39th October, 2024  in recognition of the Charity’s Centenary Anniversary in 2022.

Rock UK (formerly Barnabas Trust & Barnabas Adventure Centres) was founded in 1922 as the Belgrave Trust in West Sussex by a group of Sunday School teachers who recognised the need for young people to go away on an adventure

The Charity has four centres across the UK welcoming over 60,000 people annually, with its Head Office in Irthlingborough, Northamptonshire

NMPAT
His Royal Highness watched several groups of young people participating in activities on the Climbing Tower and High Ropes, taking part in Problem Solving Activities as well as listening to a County Group from NMPAT (Northamptonshire Music and Performing Arts Trust) who regularly use the centre for Music Residentials.
HRH The Duke of Gloucester Planting a Tree at Rock UK Frontier Centre
In commemoration of his visit, HRH The Duke of Gloucester  planted an indigenous European Beech tree and unveiled a plaque at the Centre.
