We want to know what inspired you about the King’s Coronation!

The exhibition of finalists’ work for Coronation Art Competition, commissioned by the Lord Lieutenant of Northamptonshire was exhibited in the Coach House at Lamport Hall.  On 26 October 2023.  Presentations by the Lord Lieutenant to the winners took place in each age group, with a cash prize for each one.

The theme was the Coronation of King Charles lll and hundreds of entries came from schools all over the county.  It was not possible to display every work of art submitted, but a shortlist of 80 entries were exhibited at Lamport Hall.

There was a wonderful variety of art, from oil paint, acrylic, drawings, collage, digital arrangements and clay sculpture, perfectly illustrating the fascinating power of children’s imaginations and reflecting the unique Royal event.  The organisers were delighted with the response.
