AS ROYAL PATRON, MOTOR NEURONE DISEASE (MND) ASSOCIATION – VISIT THE EnCouRage WORKSHOP, UON NORTHAMPTON

HRH The Princess Royal was met by Vice Lord-Lieutenant, Morcea Walker MBE.  As Royal Patron of Motor Neurone Disease (MND) Association – HRH visit coincided with the EnCouRage Workshop taking place at the Learning Hub, UON, Northampton.

MND EnCouRage UK is a two-day conference aimed at early career researchers (ECRs) who have chosen motor neurone disease (MND) as their area of study.  Through the event the MND Association aim to recognise, retain and encourage the important work of ECRs via inspiring, educational and interactive talks from well-respected and experienced scientists and clinicians

During the visit HRH The Princess Royal joined each table for 5 minutes, each table included a person who has been diagnosed with MND, a person affected by MND,  a senior MND Researcher, early stage MND Researchers and an MND Association member of staff as the Group Lead.
