Visit to Frank Bruno Foundation, Northampton

HRH The Duke of Gloucester with Chairman and Trustee of Frank Bruno Foundation, Mr David Davies and Ms Lisa Calvert, Business Manager

HRH The Duke of Gloucester visited The Frank Bruno Foundation, charity’s Round By Round centre last week (October 30) to see for himself the lifeline work which goes on there.

The purpose of this event is to raise awareness of The Frank Bruno Foundation’s commitment to supporting those struggling with early stage mental ill health.

The Frank Bruno Foundation provide holisitic Mental Health and Wellbeing programmes to anyone aged 10+ years who are struggling with their mental health.

The Frank Bruno Foundation was founded as a direct result of Frank wanting to create positive change in communities and to knock out the stigma surrounding mental health.

Since opening the centre in 2020, Frank and his team of volunteers have supported more than 1,000 men and women of all ages who are experiencing mental ill health. The Round By Round programme consists of weekly sessions providing emotional wellbeing and non-contact boxing.

Courses are provided five-days a week, but all services provided by the charity rely on donations as they receive no Government funding

Meeting the Volunteers and supporters

The Foundation therefore relies heavily on the work of volunteers – some of whom were celebrated during the Royal visit
