Armed Forces Week – Events around Northamptonshire

The week surrounding Armed Forces Day is a chance to show your support for the men and women who make up the Armed Forces community.
From currently serving troops to service families, veterans and cadets.
Reserves Day (Wednesday 26 June) also provides an opportunity for us all to recognise our Reserve Forces.
Celebrations begin on Monday 24 June when the Armed Forces Day flag is raised on buildings and famous landmarks around the country

 Armed Forces Day Event -Northampton

Armed Forces Day will be marked in Northampton town centre on Saturday, 29th June: 10am – 2pm

Venue: All Saints’ Church Piazza, Northampton

1000 – EVENT OPENS with stall holders, local radio host, military display vehicles & café offering

1030 – Speeches: The Mayor, LL & Armed Forces/Veteran Reps. (Veterans and Dignitaries may speak throughout the entertainment schedule in-between acts.)

1045 – 1115: 5F S RAF Military Band

1130 – 1215: The Starlight Sisters

1230 – 1300: A Company LNR ACF Corps of Drums

1315 – 1400: The Starlight Sisters

1400 – EVENT CLOSES

 Armed Forces Day Event -Wellingborough

Tithe Barn Green area, Tithe Barn, Tithe Barn Rd, Wellingborough NN8 1BZ  10.00am – 3.00pm

10.00am  – 10.30am Armed Forces Day short opening ceremony where all Cadets, RBL will form together.

The Armed Forces Day flag will be raised with a short service from RBL Chaplin.

The Cadets & RBL will then go to their Recruitment stands for the rest of the day meeting the public etc.

The day ends at 15:00 where the Armed Forces Flag will be lowered.
