HRH began her visit at Northampton Museum and Art Gallery.

The Duchess met members of the Great Fire History Group and trialled a new educational app exploring the fire’s timeline and impact

The Duchess viewed costumes designed to reflect the Fire which  featured in 2025 Northampton Carnival.  HRH was then shown around the museum’s renowned shoe gallery, celebrating the town’s global legacy in shoemaking.

The Duchess was guided through key areas of Northampton’s town centre linked to the fire’s history.

HRH visited All Saints Church, rebuilt with support from King Charles II after the original medieval church was destroyed.

HRH learned about the church’s architectural significance and its role in the town’s recovery.
She also heard about its connection to the annual Oak Apple Day commemorations.
